The Best Part About Blogging

I’m currently in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin right now. I’m attending a four-day preaching workshop with Haddon Robinson and Craig Blomberg. We’re going through 1 Corinthians together. I try to get to this workshop every year. It’s always great to get together with other pastors and to work through a book of the Bible together.

No matter how good the sessions are, one of the highlights is the time that we get to spend talking during the meals. I just had lunch with Chris Brauns, who is a blogger you should be reading. He’s also author of Unpacking Forgiveness, which is a book that I regularly recommend to others.

Chris is an example of someone I’ve come to know through blogging. The blogging has led to a much deeper relationship when we see each other in person. I’ve met a number of great people who have enriched my life through blogging. In some ways, blogging is a form of social networking that can lead to some very good in-person relationships with very good people.

The best part about blogging may be the in-person relationships that develop as a result.
